Export Customs Clearance

The export procedure concerns the exit of Community goods from the customs territory of the Community to a third country. This exit confers on Community goods the status of non-Community goods. This is done by the application of export formalities, including, where applicable, the application of commercial policy measures, e.g. presentation of export licenses, prohibitions, restrictions, etc. The export of goods is exempt from the payment of VAT and Excise Duties.
